Ronald’s family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 5-9 o’clock p.m. Visitation will resume at 8 o’clock a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, until time of service. All of Ronald’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Ronald was an electrician in the Gulf of Mexico until his retirement from Parker Drilling. He enjoyed hunting squirrel, rabbit and deer with many family and friends. Many days were also spent on Miller's Lake and other areas fishing with his wife and others. However, his longest and greatest interest was cars, whether it was fixing them, driving them or just watching. He would always diagnose and tell how to "fix" it, which may have been correct or (possibly) not. He enjoyed driving and watching stock car racing at local tracks such as Thunder Valley and Forest Hill Speedway where he shared the driver's seat with his brother, Donald, and daughter, Pattie, whom he only called Joe and she only answered to him as Joe. However, he would only watch NASCAR from the comfort of his recliner.
Ronald could be found daily at Richard's Tire Service having his coffee and "shooting the breeze" with the guys.
Those left to cherish Ronald’s memory include his two daughters, Pattie Henry Willis and husband Tim of Oakdale, and Angela Henry Hill and husband Larry of Portland, Tx; brother, Robert Hugh Henry of Mansfield, La.; three grandchildren, Brandon Willis, Eric Willis, and Rileigh Tuttle; and five great grandchildren with another on the way.
Ronald is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jimmie Jean Henry, his parents, Robert and Goldie Henry; and his twin brother, Donald Henry.
Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with Ronald’s family at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com or on Facebook at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
