Elton-Funeral Services for Robert Lee Nuncio, 66, will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Indian Bible Church. Rev. John Cernek will officiate. Burial will be held at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Indian Bible Church on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Robert was a loving brother, uncle and a friend to all. He loved listening to music, drawing, and traveling. He also loved sports; especially football. Robert loved spending time with his family. He was a man of strong faith. Robert was a faithful member of Indian Bible Church. Music was a passion of his. He loved to play his guitar, play his harmonica and sing gospel songs. He was saved in 1973 while in the service, but slipped away from Jesus for a few years. When he came back to the Lord about 10 years ago, he never strayed again. He was done with secular music and would only sing and play gospel. Robert was a simple man...he loved his Maker, loved to sing for joy to the Lord, and loved good cooking. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Robert's memory include his brother, Felix Nuncio of Houston, TX; one sister, Josephine Curiel of Houston, TX; and four nieces, Kathy Curiel, Kristy Curiel, Jennifer Gagle and Jessica Nuncio, all of Houston, TX.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Nuncio and Rosalie Williams.

He made me promise we would have a gospel service at his funeral and then everyone would be invited to a dinner afterwards. He wanted everyone fed who came to his service. The reception will follow at 2:00 pm at the Coushatta gym. –Pastor John Cernek.
