Kinder-Funeral service for Robert A. Norwood, 55, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home. Rev. Glyn Bogard will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to hunt and fish. He never stopped working to provide for his family. Robert's favorite pastime was spending time with his grandson. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He never met a stranger. Robert was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. No matter what he was going through he always had a smile on his face. Robert was a man of strong faith and member of The First Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Robert's memory include his wife, Peggy Pitre Norwood, of Reeves; two sons, Cullen Pitre, of Baton Rouge, and Lukas Norwood, of Reeves; two daughters, Chelsea Holden and husband, Jacob, of Kinder, and Meagan Pitre, of Baton Rouge; four brothers, Johnny, Danny, George, and Tan; eight sisters, Jean, Dozie, Lillie, Kathy, Shirley, Clada, Bonnie, and Reina; and four grandchildren, William, Reece, Arimoni, and Robert.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, A.M. "Buck" and Georgiana Norwood; and three brothers, Floyd, Marvin, and Grady Norwood.
