Kinder-Graveside services honoring Robert Allen Fontenot, 62, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Cemetery in Jennings. Deacon Mike Trammel will officiate. Robert will be laid to rest with full Naval honors. All of Robert's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman and absolutely loved to fish. He loved to cook and entertain and was a very good cook. Robert enjoyed being outdoors, he loved his dog Paco, and loved spending time with his family. He had a lifelong friend by the name of Wade Bell whom he showed how to clean his very first fish at only five years old, Wade has been by Robert's side all these years and has even helped during Robert's sickness taking the role like a brother. He loved to have his hair cut by his son-in-law. Robert was a very kind, loving, and caring person and would help anyone in need. He will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Robert's memory include, his companion, Marie LeDoux; one son, Zachary Fontenot, one stepson, Beaux Benoit, two stepdaughters, Rachel Tresner and husband Jerret, and Kristie Benoit and companion, Ashtyn, and six grandsons, Jerret Jr, Pierceton, Landon, Noah, Ryker, and Dallas, and one granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Murray, and Rena Fontenot.
