Kinder- Funeral service for Robert John Eaglin, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the St. Joseph Catholic church in Elton, Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Elton, under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes. The family will receive visitors at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elton from 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 until time of service.

Robert enjoyed cooking and visiting with family and friends over coffee. He also enjoyed riding his bike. He loved his dogs. Robert enjoyed working on his equipment and lawnmower. He liked riding around in his trucks. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two brothers, Richard Joseph Eaglin and wife, Ruth, of Maryland, and George Eaglin of Opelousas; two sisters, Mary Freeman of Elton, and Marie Fuselier and husband, Loyd, of Kinder.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Papillion; parents, Homer and Ethel Eaglin; two brothers, Homer Eaglin Jr., and Gabriel Joseph Eaglin; and one sister, Edrilla Soileau; and one brother-in-law, Charles Freeman.
