Robert Dean Day passed away on March 22, 2022 in Corn, OK. He was born June 19, 1943 in Glenmora, LA to Earl Franklin and Gladys Ione (Park) Day. Shortly after his birth his father passed away, so he was raised by his mother, his grandma, Maggie Park and his uncle, Lee who was a very special uncle and father figure. He was a graduate of Glenmora High School and served in the US Air Force. Robert was also an active member of the Disabled American Veterans, Paul B. Benoit, Chapter 7 in Alexandria. He served on the New Orleans Police Dept. and was a long time truck driver with over a million miles without an accident. Robert loved to hunt and fish, ride his Harley and had some of the best friends a man could ever wish for. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church in Forest Hill. His quick wit, wisdom and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Robert's memory include his son, Russell Day and wife, Shannon, of Port Angeles, WA; daughter, Sonya Blevins and husband, David, of El Reno, OK; six grandchildren, Garret, Harrison, Alex, Melinda, Andrew and Addison; as well as distant relatives and lifelong friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents (including Grandma Maggie and Uncle Lee) and his beloved sister, Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Byrd.

Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Gladys Day Library at Harmony Baptist Church in Glenmora.
