Elton-Funeral services for Mr. Robert Robley David, 73, will be held Saturday,
January 19, 2013 at 10am in St. Paul Catholic Church at Elton. Father Marshall
Boulet will officiate and burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction
of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton Friday, January 18,
2013 at 11am with a rosary at 7pm. They will also observe a continuous visitation until time of service on Saturday.
He lived in Elton all of his life. He worked as a longshoreman, as a farm-hand
for Preston Miller, worked offshore, and last as a security guard for Coushatta
Casino Resort for the last 15 years. He was a New York Giants fan since he was 10
years old and watched it on a 9 inch TV. He was better known to his children and
grandchildren as "Paw" and to his friends as "Rockin Rob" He was a loving
husband to his best friend of 54 years, LouAnna David. He was a loving father,
grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. For the past 12 years he devoted his
life to raising his great grandson Francis Comeaux Jr.
Survivors include his wife Lou Anna Bourgeois David of Elton; four children,
Donna (Bobby) Bertrand, Joseph David of Elton, Cheryl (Herbert) Comeaux of
Lacassine, Derwin (Patricia) David of Loranger, La.; two brothers, Billy (Betty) David, and Kenny Fontenot; five sisters, Patsy (Roy) Breaux, Joan Matte, Dean (James) Waller, Sandy (Rodney) Leger, Trudy (Johnny) Wilson; seventeen grandchildren, Francis
Comeaux Sr., Heather, Rodney Comeaux Jr., Sara, Phillip Comeaux, Anastasia
(Daniel) Hornsby, Laurie Comeaux, Amber (Derek) Fontenot, Christopher Comeaux,

He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis David and Essie Mae Ardoin; step-father Wesley Treme; two sons, Francis Amada David, Frank Anthony David; one sister, Cathy Shuff; two great grandchildren, Khloey Morrow, and Aaron Richard
