Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Robert Bond, 82, will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 2 o'clock p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Ryan Bond will officiate. Robert will be laid to rest at Bond Cemetery immediately following his services.

Robert's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Tuesday morning, July 1, 2025, from 9 o'clock a.m. until time of service.

Robert Bond was a lifelong resident of Oakdale/Bond community. He graduated from Oakdale High School in 1962. He served our country in the Vietnam War as a Sergeant of the United States Army.  He was a devoted, hard worker at Boise Cascade in Oakdale and retired after 39 years of dedicated service.  He was a loving husband of 57 years, father and poppa always there to offer guidance, love and a hearty laugh. He cherished family gatherings and his presence at holidays and celebrations brought warmth and joy to those around him.

Robert had many passions in life, including gardening, mowing and riding his tractor, which he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren. He was known for his personality and his sense of humor that would light up any room.  Robert was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Robert's memory include his wife, Allie Bond of Bond, LA; two sons, Billy Bond (Tammy) of Bond, LA and James Bond (Liz) of Oakdale, LA; four grandchildren, Payton, Tyler, Sadie, and Ethan Bond; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Amy Bond; two brothers, Roy and Ray Bond; and four sisters, Naomi Turner, Dorothy Ardoin, Catherine Prestwood and Yvonne Reed.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Justin Paul, Dewayne Paul, Brandon Bonin, Tom Prestwood, Jim Prestwood, and Denis Bond.
