Elton-Funeral services for Rita Faye Stroder LaFleur, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Don Duplechain will officiate. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Rita was a loving mom, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister. She was a homemaker and enjoyed every minute of it. Before becoming a homemaker, she worked at Coushatta Casino. Rita's passion was dancing and going out with friends. She never met a stranger. She was the best cook; her homemade biscuits and all her home-cooking will be cherished. Rita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Rita's memory include her daughter, Sharlene Kibodeaux and husband "Richey" of Elton; sister, Wanda Hebert of Oberlin; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Elma and Henry Stroder; husband, Earl LaFleur; two sons, Timothy Henry Laflaur and Roger Joseph LaFleur; brother, Ray Stroder; and sister, Peggy LaFleur.
