Oakdale-Funeral services for Retha Marie Stafford, 86, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Allen Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Alexandria Memorial Gardens in Woodworth under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Retha was a wife to her husband, Nelson, for thirty-five years until his passing, as well as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a very kind person whom never found fault in anyone. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. More than anything, Retha treasured spending time with her family and spending time at church playing the piano and singing. She worked several years for the state and after twenty plus years she retired from Pinecrest in Pineville. Retha will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Retha's memory include her daughter, Karen Leon-Guerro and husband, Jesse; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Retha is preceded in death by her parents, C.O. Fagg and Lucy Dayton Fagg; husband, Nelson Stafford; son, Larry Stafford; three brothers, Milton E., Jack Ronald and Robert Joseph Fagg; and two sisters, Velma Beatrice Fagg Deese and Violet Louise Fagg Black.
