Elton-Funeral service for Rena Price, 89, will be held Wednesday, January 9,2013 at 10am in St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate the
service and burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin
Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in Ardoins Chapel of Elton beginning Tuesday, January
8, 2013 from 11-10pm, with a rosary being recited at 6pm. Visitation will continue at the Ardoins Chapel at 8am until time of service.
Rena Price danced through the gates of Heaven on Sunday, January 6th at
St. Patrick's Hospital in Lake Charles. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic
Church where she served as a Eucharist Minister for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Financial Committee, Adoration Adorer and Evangelist Team.
She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and The Cadillac Club. She was employed for many years at Best Tax System. She will be dearly missed by all who
knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Betty David and husband Billy
of Welsh, Nannette Park and husband Joseph of Lake Charles, Linda Istre and husband
Ricky of Elton; eleven grandchildren, Brigitte Courville (Keith Chaisson) of Hathaway,
Barbie Reed (David) of Jennings, Byron Courville (Janelle) of Lake Charles, Brent
Courville (LaTasha) of Sulphur, Bentley Courville (Paul) of Memphis, Tn., Billy David, Jr.(Aimee) of Jefferson, Ga., Scott Park of Lake Charles, Angela Grives (Paul) of Clifton,Va., John Istre of College Station, Tx., Wendy Langley (Duane), Monica Fontenot (Lee),Wilber Istre (Aletha) all of Kinder; and twenty-two great grandchildren, Justin (Amberly), Erica, Rebecca, Jessica, Heather, Kristi, Ashley, Alexandra, Samantha, Jessica, Chassidy, Rickey, Kendra Avreigh, Darian, Michael, Ashley, Angelica, Alexis, Arden, Harli, Wilber Jr., Charlee; three great great grandchildren, Miles, Trindon, and Brick; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Frey Meyers of Eunice, Emmarette Price of Mississippi.
Rena is preceded in death by her husband, Wilber Price, her father, Angelos Myers; her mother, Etienne LeBert; two sisters; and six brothers.
Pallbearers will be Justin Johnson, Byron Courville, Brent Courville, Bentley
Courville, Wilton Johnson, and John Istre.
The family wishes to Thank St. Patrick Hospital and Southern Home Health for
their care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church of Elton.
