Rena Darlene Millikan from Welsh, LA, formerly from Ogilvie, MN passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at her sons home "Brian R. Bennett" in Welsh due to complications with an upper respiratory infection. Private services will be held at a later date.

Rena was born to Alvin and Melba Matlock on September 4, 1957 in Madera, CA. She was the youngest of two brothers and four sisters. Rena graduated from Madera High School in 1975 and from National Louis University in 1977. She was married to Daren Bennett in 1976. Together they had two children, Denise and Brian. Rena and Daren separated in 1987. Rena met Donald F. Millikan, Jr. in Madera, CA where he worked at Primo Manufacturing as a pyro technist. Together Rena and Donald traveled over most of the lower 48 states working for several firework companies. Donald as pyro technist/public display operator, Rena as secretarial staff and helped with manufacturing and public display work.  Donald and Rena settled in Ogilvie, MN where they lived in a rural area just 4 miles from Ogilvie. They worked and raised their children there. Rena had decided to move to Louisiana on September 14, 2022 to be closer to her family.

Rena was a free spirit who enjoyed blazing her own trail through life. She was college educated in business science. She was a loving wife and mother. Rena was a generous, caring friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed card games, especially Cribbege. She was an avid reader, she especially enjoyed Woman's World Magazine where she would keep up on food and fashion. Rena loved her pets, especially her two cats, Rubio and Mittens. Rena and Don would enjoy traveling all over the United States and enjoyed visiting Don's relatives in Mexico. Rena was loved by all who knew her, Rena was the love of Dons life. She will be sorely missed. May God welcome her into Heaven.

Rena is survived by her husband, Donald F. Millikan, Jr. of Ogilvie, MN; daughter, Denise Perry of Ragley, LA; two sons, Brian R. Bennett of Welsh and Donald F. Millikan, III of Minneapolis, MN; granddaughter, Nichole Edwards of Ragley, LA; grandson, Christopher Perry of Ragley, LA; great granddaughter, Paisley Edwards of Ragley, LA; Chris Stark from Madera, CA, Melba "Tina" Butler from Murray, UT, Alice Gimbl from Bakersfield, CA; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Matlock of Madera, CA and Melba Brazil of Madera, CA; brother, Alvin Roy Matlock of Madera, CA; and two sisters, Mary Matlock of Madera, CA and Teresa Hatfield of Pensacola, FL.
