Kinder-Funeral service for Ms. Rena Manuel LaFosse, 88, will be held Friday,
March 5, 2010 at 11am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Elton under the direction of
Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in Ardoin Funeral Home Thursday from 12 pm-9pm with a Vigil at 6pm with a Rosary to follow and will continue Friday from 8am until time of
service.
Ms. Rena was a resident of Kinder and formerly of Elton. She was a member
of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. Ms. Rena was a
fantastic cook, loved to bake, play cards and pokeno. She worked with the Meals on
Wheels and Head Start programs. Ms. Rena managed a Bill's Dollar Store for over ten
years. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter,Nora Menier of Kinder; sister, Madeline Spears
and husband, Edwin of Iowa; granddaughter, Julie Willis and husband, Ray of Kinder;
grandson, Jeffery Vidrine and wife, Naomi of Basile; great-grand children, Jenna Reeves
of Kinder; Lance Willis of Kinder, Macey and Gavin Vidrine of Basile.
Ms. LaFosse is preceded in death by her husband, Webster LaFosse; her parents, Daisy and Alcide Manuel; son, Wayne Louis LaFosse and grandson, Joseph Vidrine.
