Rayma Ruth Wells was born in Dallas, TX, on Monday, March 12, 1956. She was a very free-spirited woman who had a fiery temper, but dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She strived to do the best she could to help her family in their time of need. She wasn't perfect, she made mistakes, just like anyone else. When she realized her mistakes, she would always correct them, even if that meant writing an apology in a birthday card. Rayma never gave up, she just kept moving forward, always doing the best she could. She loved her big "Sissy", and worried about her constantly. Despite her worrying, she always looked up to her and wanted to be like her. Rayma was a great friend, and her friends loved her dearly. She was always honest and told it like it was, in the most respective way possible. If it verbally came out wrong, she would apologize and explain it in a different way. Her loss created a void that can never be filled for all who loved her, cared for her, and knew her. Rayma was a light at the end of a dark path, and she will be remembered and revered for eternity. She was a very kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Rayma's memory include her three sons, Christopher Jean Mott, Gabriel Lee Castillo, and Michael Truman Wells; Sister, Nedda Faye Wells Tilley and husband Jerry; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Rayma is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Allie Wells; her spouse, Bobby Cleve Maxey; and grandson, Michael Caleb Wells.
Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with Rayma's family at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com or on Facebook-Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
