Elton-Funeral Services for Raylin Jamar Popillion, Sr., 33, will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. Rev. Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in Sonnier Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home on Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 7-11 a.m.
Raylin was a loving son, husband, and father who worked hard as a mechanic to take care of his family. He loved to cook, especially boiling crawfish. He also enjoyed trail riding, ATV riding, and entertaining. But most of all, Raylin loved being at home with his family. He was a very giving man who never met a stranger. Raylin will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Raylin's memory include his parents, Sylvester and Margaret Popillion of Kinder; his wife, Rebecca Popillion of Elton; three sons, Omarion Brown of Lake Charles, Raylin "Poppi"Popillion, Jr. and Haylin "Jace" Popillion, both of Elton; two daughters, Triniti and Lailah Popillion, both of Elton; his godchildren, Bryson Eaglin, Scienna Dartez, Aydiah May, and Calvin Jr. Thomas; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Raylin is preceded in death by his grandparents, Broswell and Mary Ethonia Joubert, Sylvester and Bernard Popillion, and Pearl Shuff; and his sister-in-law, Annette David.
