Oberlin-Funeral service for Raoul Frank, Sr., 89, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church of Oberlin. Rev. Jacob S. Conner will officiate. Burial will follow in Soileau Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home-Oberlin Chapel.

The family will receive visitors at Allen Parish Funeral Home, 119 S. 7 ^th Street on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 beginning at 8 a.m. with a rosary being prayed at 10 a.m. Visitation will continue until time of service.

Raoul was a resident of Soileau. He worked hard to provide for his family as a farmer for more than 50 years in the Oberlin, Soileau, and Duralde communities. He enjoyed music and dancing. Raoul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  His memory will be everlasting in the hearts of his family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Raoul Frank, Jr. of Oberlin; one daughter, Gurlie Norwood and husband, Andrew of Oberlin; one brother, Nallis Frank of Cheek, TX; four sisters, Agnes Ceaser and husband, J.B. of Vinton, Everta Benoit of Orange, TX, Hazel Thomas and husband, Leo of Elton, and Lovenia Fontenot of Basile; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Raoul is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Julia Frank and his parents, Joseph and Laura Frank.
