Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Randy Strother, 69, will be held at 1 o’clock p.m. on Monday afternoon, August 31, 2026, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Bro. Jerry Odom will officiate. Randy will be laid to rest at Willis Flats Cemetery in Plainview, LA, immediately following his services.

    Randy’s family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Monday morning, August 31, 2026, from 10 o’clock a.m. until time of service. All of Randy’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

    Randy was a loving brother and friend to all. He was a graduate of Oakdale High School. Randy worked the Pipeline from the time he finished high school until his well-deserved retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time outside, one of his favorite past times was riding the “back roads”, while enjoying the peace and tranquility of nature. Randy was a loving and caring person and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

    Those left to cherish Randy’s memory include two brothers, Roy Dean Strother and David Strother, one sister, Rebecca Chamberlin and husband Robert; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

    Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Russel and Julie Willis Strother, and one brother, Carl Ray Strother.
