Eunice- A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial for Elizabeth Priscilla Buller LeDoux, 82, will be Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 10 AM in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Father Thomas Voorhies will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Eunice.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 3 to 9 PM, with a Rosary being recited at 6 PM, and will continue on Wednesday from 8 AM till time of service.
Pris was born on June 12, 1926 to Eva Garbarino Buller and Thomas L. Buller of Elton, Louisiana. After a long struggle with Alzheimer's, Pris died in Oaklane on December 28, 2008. She graduated form Elton High School and was employed by the US Postal Service from 1943 until 1947. She married J.E. "Boo" LeDoux and moved to Eunice where they operated Boo's Meat Market until 1976. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Louisiana Cattlewomen Association. After her retirement from Boo's Market, she accompanied her husband on the Louisiana Wagon in the Bi-Centennial Trek to Valley Forge, Pa. in 1976. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to fish, camp, attend Wagoneer's Crafts Festivals, watch LSU football and participate in her class of 1943 reunions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. "Boo" LeDoux, Sr., her mother, Eva Garbarino Buller, father Thomas L. Buller and grandson, Jacob LeDoux. Pris is survived by her son, Dr. Joseph E. LeDoux, Jr. and wife Nancy of New York, N.Y. and grandson Milo; her daughter Bonnie L. Sammis and husband Burt of Sweetlake, and grandsons, Michael Sammis, wife Janie and their daughter, Jordan Paige; Mark Sammis, wife Bobbie and their three children, Cheri, Coby and Carlee.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Pris' faithful caregiver Ms. Marie Prudhomme, her lifelong friend, Ms. Winnie Miller, loving roommate Bessie Fletcher, Ms. Bonita Young and the entire staff of Oaklane. Judy, her compassionate Oaklane nurse and Shelly, her Heart of Hospice nurse and ever faithful, dedicated caring friends Clarence and Barbara Savoy and Remi and Toby Savoy and their families.
