Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Pierre Monroe Smith, 55, will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10AM in First Pentecostal Church of Kinder. Rev. T.L. Smith, Rev. Rod Nesmith, & Rev. J.H. Rider will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in First Pentecostal Church Tuesday from 12noon-9pm and will continue Wednesday at 8am until time of service.
Mr. Smith was a resident of Kinder. He was a well-respected painter who took pride in his work. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Smith passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010.
He is survived by his mother, Margie L. Bell Smith of Kinder; two sons, James Rider & wife Tara of Dequincy, Phillip Smith of Kinder; three brothers, Henry W. Smith Jr. & wife Genevieve of Kinder, Jerry R. Smith & wife Emmy of Plentywood, MT, Roger L.. Smith & wife Pat of Nacogdoches, TX; three sisters, Brenda S. Fruge & husband Edward of Kinder, Carolyn L. Hodges & husband James of Etiole, TX, Tammy E. Franklin & husband Curt of Moss Bluff.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his father, Henry W. Smith Sr.
