Phillip was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many. He loved to hunt, fish, shoot pool, ride four-wheelers and cook for his family. Phillip never met a stranger; he was a friend to everyone. He was a hard worker. He worked for Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana and the gaming commission for twenty plus years. Phillip was a family man and cherished every moment he spent with them. He was a big LSU and Saints fan, as well as a Mardi Gras fan. Phillip will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Phillips' memory include his wife, Dawn John of Elton; two sons, Ethan John of Lake Charles and Kagen Pierrotti of Elton; two daughters, Alison Kirklin and husband, Adidas, of Elton and Megan John of Elton; two sisters, Sylvia Young and Tanya John both of Elton; and three grandchildren, Kyrie Carmon, Rilee Kirklin and Breeze Ross.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Pauline John; one brother, Arnold John; and two sisters, Clarice Chevallier and Theresa John.
