Phil was a loving husband, father, pappy, brother and a friend to many. He was born in Jennings on July 19, 1942, to Alaven "Bib" and Ora LeJeune. Phil was a graduate of Hathaway High in 1960. He was very active in sports and 4-H. Phil and his wife, Wanda, were active in sheep livestock with their children and many other children as well. He served on the Jeff Davis Police Jury in the past. He was active in agriculture most of his life; rather it be working at a dairy as a young man to farming his own crops, managing a rice mill operation or crawfish processing plant. Phil and his wife's business were raising quail, pickling quail eggs and spending time together delivering to their customers.

Phil never met a stranger and was very grateful to get involved to meet the needs helping the public. He enjoyed being around his family; rather it be a phone call, a drop-by hi and bye or a gathering of cooking and visiting. Phil will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Phil's memory include his daughter, Melissa (Glen) LaFosse of Elton; son, Philip Shane (Alecia) LeJeune of Covington; four step-sons, Phil (Andrea) Durbin of Houston, TX, Jerry Durbin of Lake Charles, Rocky Durbin, and Shane (Amanda) Stanley of Dequincy; six grandchildren, Heather (Mac) Bertrand, Hank (Lauren) LaFosse, Hunner (Kyleigh) LaFosse, Cole LeJeune, Claire LeJeune and Anna LeJeune; seven great grandchildren, Emma, Slade, Ethan, Adeline, Kenzly, Maya and Everleigh; three brothers, Byron LeJeune of Jennings, Brennon LeJeune of Eunice, and Dwayne (Dana) LeJeune of Scott; four sisters, Emily (Robert) Doucet of Jennings, Alice (Deacon Mike) Tramel of Jennings, Theresa (Steve) Campbell of Carrollton, TX, and Catherine (Mark) Marceaux of Kaplan; sister-in-law, Sandra LeJeune of Jennings; along with numerous nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, family members and friends.
