Elton-Celebration of Life services honoring Peggy Louise Phelps, 65, will be held at 2 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, November 26, 2024, at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Todd Shearin will officiate. Peggy will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery in Elton immediately following her services.
Peggy's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 11 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Peggy's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and cherished every memory she made with them. Peggy enjoyed arts and crafts, but especially loved crocheting blankets for her family. She was an animal lover and loved horses, cats, and dogs. Peggy was always happy and never let anything get her down, she accepted all of life's challenges with a big smile. She was kind and caring, had a huge heart of gold, and loved to help others in need. Peggy will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Peggy's memory include her daughter, Josie Aguillard, her son, Christopher Aguillard; one sister, Sharon "Suzie" Arceneaux and husband Mark; two brothers, Sherrill Phelps and wife Cindy, and Douglas Phelps; four grandchildren, Camryn, Evan, Alec, and Owen Aguillard; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace "Bud", and Genevieve "Pearl" Phelps.
