Obituary

Reeves-Peggy Sue Burge Cole, age 66, passed away peacefully in her home on September 6, 2021 with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Peggy's family will host a private memorial service in her honor at a future date. In honor of Mrs. Peggy's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Peggy was a devoted wife to her husband, Burl, for 37 years. She was a woman of strong faith and a faithful member of Reeves Baptist Church.  Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were her life. She loved to crochet, read, cook, being outside in the evenings and taking rides in the car with her husband whom she dearly adored. Peggy was a very kind and caring person who always saw the good in everyone. She was always willing to forgive and was very giving of her time to others in need. Mrs. Peggy's family says "this world will be a lesser place without her". Peggy will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Peggy's memory include her husband, Burl Cole of Reeves; her two daughters, Peggy Cole of Reeves and Amber Cole of Lake Charles; her five grandchildren, Desaray, Willa, and Sofia Cole, Shawn "Rooster" Courville, and Athena Martin; one sister, Nancy Poole of Merryville, TN; and a host of nieces and friends.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Earlie and Verda Burge; and one step-son, Luther Shawn Cole.
