Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Pedro Antonio Flores, 61, will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 6 o'clock p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Charles Seal will officiate. Pedro's family will host private burial services in his memory at a future date.

Pedro's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 4 o'clock p.m. until time of service. All of Pedro's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Pedro was a selfless, hardworking individual who always put his family first. He came to the United States in 1985 on foot via the Rio Grande and worked as a mechanic, preparing food in a restaurant, and logging until he was able to receive his visa through the Amnesty Act of the late 1980's. He continued working in the timber industry until he changed to working full time in nurseries in 1991. Pedro started his own nursery in 2008 while continuing to work full time. He was very proud of his work and his family and was always willing to help anyone in need. Pedro will be forever missed and unconditionally loved in the American and Latin American communities surrounding where he lived.

Those left to cherish Pedro's memory include his wife, Teresa Rodriguez Salas; one son, Carlos Alberto Flores Rodriguez; three daughters, Ana Elizabeth Flores Rodriguez, Olga Lidia Flores Rodriguez, and Santana Wells; two brothers, Feliberto and Dario Flores Donez; seven sisters, Antonia Flores Donez, Juana Flores Donez, Asuncion Flores Donez, Adela Flores Donez, Ana Maria Donez Flores, Cristina Flores Donez and Ma Refugio Donez Flores; and two grandchildren.

Pedro is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Flores Huerta and Adelaida Donez Esteviz; first wife, Angela Rebecca "Becky" Gill, and one sister, Consuelo Flores Donez.
