Kinder-A funeral mass for Mrs. Pauline Marie Willis, 59, of Sulphur, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2006 in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Kinder. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Mrs. Willis passed away, at 1:16 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2006 in Kingsville, Tx., with her devoted husband of 41 years at her side at the time of her sudden death. She was born December 11, 1946 in Lake Arthur, reared in Oberlin, La., graduated from Oberlin High School in 1964, held a Commercial Art degree. She was an Outsider Artist whose paintings hung in galleries through out the United States. She entered in to the Sacrament of Marriage on March 25, 1965 with her loving husband J.E. Willis, and was of the Catholic Faith
Visitation will be in the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.; Thursday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.; and Friday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Survivors include her husband J.E.Willis of Sulphur; son, Jacob Willis and wife Rachael of Moss Bluff; daughters Susan Willis of Sulphur, Monica LaFleur and husband John of Sulphur, Mildred Broussard and husband Earl, Jr. of Baytown, Tx.; brothers, Michael Marcantel of Natchitoches, Tonas, Bernard, and Jerry Marcantel all of Kinder, James Marcantel of Leesville, Howard Marcantel of Washington, D.C.; sister, Phoebe Pruett of Sulphur; 12 grandchildren, Samantha, Ross, Ryan, Justin, Nicholas, Jeremy, Gabrielle, Victoria, Jace, Harleigh, Sarah, Lacey.
Preceded in death by her daughter Karen Ann Willis, parents Lionel and Mildred Marcantel, brother Paul.
