Elton-Funeral service for Pauline John, 74, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton. Burial will follow in St. Peters cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton from 3-10 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed sitting on her porch drinking coffee and visiting with her family. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking, and watching t.v. Pauline was a lifelong resident of Elton. She was a member of the Coushatta Tribe and worked for them for twenty plus years. Pauline will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Pauline's memory include her son, Phillip John of Elton; three daughters, Sylvia John of Elton, Tanya John of Elton, Theresa John Guillory and husband, Marvin, of Elton; one brother, Clifford Poncho of Leblanc; two sisters, Shirley Doucet and husband, Richard, of Jennings, Brenda Hill of Orange TX; eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Dempsey and Jane Poncho; one son, Arnold John; and one daughter, Clarice Chevallier.
