Paula Lorraine Buller Norwood

Reeves-With deep love, we announce that Paula Lorraine Buller Norwood, 81, passed peacefully on August 27, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. in her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Officiating will be Rev. Ricky Buller. Burial will follow in Ritchie Cemetery #1, Moss Bluff. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Paula’s family will receive visitors beginning Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. An Eastern Star Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday morning beginning at 8:00a.m. and will continue until time of service.

Those left to cherish Paula’s memory include one son, James Chance of Reeves; one daughter, Robin Hamilton and husband, Gabe of Reeves; Ronald Buller of Lake Charles; Ivy Woodard Anderson of Texas; as well as several grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents Kirby and Vina Virginia Buller; Spouse Johnny Norwood; One Son Donald Wayne Chance, Jr; Two Brother’s Donald and Kirby Buller, JR; One Sister Eva Hanes.

Paula held an unwavering dedication to God, family, friends and various charitable organizations. She filled her days chatting with friends, sewing, cooking and watching “Blue Bloods”. She was deeply passionate about the love and care of her beloved son, Donald, until his death this past January.

In her early life, she was a beautician and owned her own “in home” shops along the way. She loved doing ceramic work throughout the years featuring her “Mother of Pearl Nativity” as well as various other projects.

Paula, alongside her husband Johnny, spent many happy times with family, children, grandchildren and friends. Holidays and Reunions were of great importance to her. She loved a good Crawfish Boil, reading novels, and traveling. She traveled to many places across the US during her lifetime.

She was a member of ‘The Order of the Eastern Star’, in which she served in many offices including Worthy Matron. She and Johnny were members of the Masonic Camping Groups and gained many lifelong friends along the way.
