Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Paul Wright, 87, will be held at 1 o'clock p.m. on Friday afternoon, May 30, 2025, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Bro. Charles Seal will officiate. Paul will be laid to rest at Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin immediately following his services.

Paul's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Friday morning, May 30, 2025, from 10 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Paul's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Paul was an avid reader and liked learning new things. He was a faithful Christian and studied the Word of God with great passion. He worked hard for his family and was employed in several different fields. He worked in real estate, the insurance industry and in barbering, before finally ending up at the post office at the end of his career. He loved his family and will be missed.

Those left to cherish Paul's memory include his wife, Katie Christine Wright; one son, Travis Wright, one daughter, Pamela Wright Behm; one brother Arthur Dexter Wright; one granddaughter, Alyssa Rae Anna Wright; two nephews, Howard Wall and David Sandlin, two nieces, Jeannie Miller and Lecia Carr, and a host of extended family members and friends.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents Issac and Madie Wright; and two sisters, Margie Faye Sandlin, and Marselle Teel.
