Reeves-Funeral service for Paul L. "Peanut Butter" Brown, 57, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Reeves Bible Church. Rev. Glenn Ducharme and Rev. Lee Whitley will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Reeves Bible Church on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Paul, affectionately known as "Peanut Butter", was a devoted Christian husband of 25 years to his wife, Michelle. He was also a loving father who worked hard over the years to provide for his family. He was a member of Reeves Bible Church for the past 14 years and enjoyed helping out at Camp Pearl, especially with Boys Adventure Camp. He also worked with the Youth Group and Vacation Bible School. For 25 years, he was a dedicated paramedic who touched the lives of many people. He also served in the Louisiana National Guard as a medic for 8 years and was a member of the Ragley Volunteer Fire Dept. for 15 years. Paul loved the outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to mourn his loss include his loving wife, Michelle Fatula Brown of Longville; his mother, Georgie "Joy" Brown, of DeQuincy; one son, Daniel Brown of Longville; two daughters, Autumn Brown of Baton Rouge and Sarah Brown of Lake Charles; one brother, Bryan Brown and wife, Carmel, of DeQuincy; one sister, Leah Weaver and husband, John, of DeQuincy; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, John Quincy Brown; and brother, Jonathan Brown.
