Jennings-Paul E. "T Paul" Guidry, 82, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012. His funeral service will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 10am. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery of Elton under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 2pm until the time of service on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7pm on Wednesday.
T-Paul was a devoted catholic his entire life. He was a loving husband of 57 years. He worked as a farmer for more than 50 years to provide for his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the "great outdoors" and gardening. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
T-Paul is survived by his loving wife, Agnes Granger Guidry of Jennings; daughters, Ethel Benoit of Jennings, Mary Person and husband, Mark of Jennings, La, Margaret Benoit and husband, Anitius, Jr. of Jennings, La, Patricia Schexnider and husband, Ray of Iowa, La; sisters, Leola Chassion and husband, Paul of Pine Island, La. and Lena Fontenot and husband, John of Welsh, La.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francois and Mary Guidry, sisters, Ethel Guidry, Irene Manuel and Rena Trahan; and, one great-grandchild, Dakota Lebert.
