Elton- Paul "Cherick" Gillard passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2021. A private burial will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Paul was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved playing music, working on cars and most of all, spending time with family. Paul was always the life of a party and a jokester to say the least. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Paul's memory include his two daughters, Patty Ortego and Cindy Gill; two sisters, Louise Bergeron of Jennings and Jeanette Gatte of Elton; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Amedine Gillard; his first wife and mother of his daughters, Betty Gillard; second wife, Margie Gillard; three brothers, Patrick, George and Michael Gillard; and two sisters, Marguerite Paquet and Yvonne Vidrine.
