Kinder-Funeral service for Patsy Presley Johnston, 68, will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. She will be laid to rest along with her brother, Donald, who preceded her in death by hours. Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in Cryer Cemetery of Oakdale under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors for Patsy and Donald at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 3-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Patsy was a resident of Oakdale. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, watch wrestling and "True Crimes" mysteries. She also liked to sew and read books. She worked hard to provide for her family over the years. Patsy will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Craig Johnston and wife, Lola, of Pitkin and Michael Johnston of Oakdale; two brothers, Kenneth Presley of Oakdale and Stephen Allen Presley and wife, Magdalene, of Kinder; one sister, Deborah Langley and husband, Joey, of Kinder; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Estha Presley; her husband, Steve Kenneth Johnston; her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Laird; and her brother, Donald Tilman Presley.
