Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Patrick Buxton Sr., 55, will be held at 10 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Joshua LeJeune will officiate. Patrick will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery immediately following his services.

Patrick's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Funeral Home of Oakdale on Tuesday evening, September 10, 2024, from 5-9 o'clock p.m. Patrick's visitation will resume on Wednesday morning, September 11, 2024, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Patrick's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Patrick passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was a loving father, son, and brother. Patrick loved to spend time with his family and reminisce about old times. He was a devoted sheriff's deputy and worked for Allen Parish Sheriff's Office for 18 years. Patrick was an outgoing person and never met a stranger, he loved to strike up conversations with everyone. Patrick was a kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Patrick's memory include four daughters, Ashley Sauls and husband Perry of Oakdale, LA, Kelsie Buxton of Columbia, LA, and Karlee and Kami Buxton both of Oakdale, LA, one son, Patrick "P.J." Buxton Jr. of Oakdale, LA; three brothers, Ronald Buxton of Oakdale, LA, Chris Buxton and wife Lania of Pearl River, MS, and Brandon Buxton of Oakdale, LA, three sisters, Linda Walters, LA, Debra Harper, and Jerriath LeJeune and husband Todd all of Oakdale, LA; one special brother-in-law, Brian Jones of Ragley, LA, eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Patrick is preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla Buxton; his parents, Henry Eddie Sr., and Della Paul Buxton; four brothers, Mann, Michael, Arthur and Barrett Buxton, and one sister, Mona Jones.
