Oakdale-Funeral services for Patricia Ann Welch, 71, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Greg Willis and Rev. Mark Swinnea will officiate. Burial will follow at Caney Creek Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 12 p.m. until time of service.

Patricia was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She cherished and loved every moment her grandchildren came to spend with her and the great grandchildren loved listening to her tell stories about her past. Patricia enjoyed rescuing animals; it didn't matter what kind. She even had a pet skunk. She retired from Jewels several years ago. She loved working beside her children and meeting new people. Last but not least, Patricia enjoyed watching the church channel and listening to music, especially Jerry Lee Lewis. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Patricia's memory include her step-father, Jim Young; father of her children, Wayne Welch; three sons, Terry Wayne Welch and wife, Alicia, Jimmy Wayne Welch and Michael Wayne Welch and wife Liz; three brothers, Marvin Parker and wife, Leslie, Milton Parker and wife, Brenda and Alvie Glen Parker; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Alvie A. Parker and Manilla Young; special nephew, Jedidiah Parker; and one sister, Joy LeJeune.
