Kinder- Cremation has been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Patricia's ashes will be placed at the foot of her mother's grave at St Louis Cemetery in Eunice, LA at a later date.
Patricia Adams Johnson, 83, passed away peacefully at Kinder Retirement and Rehabilitation Center on May 28, 2021 where she had been residing for several years. She loved to visit with other residents and talk about The Gospel of Jesus Christ. She liked to assist with making the monthly bulletin board and go shopping for as long as she was able.
Patricia was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where her father worked in the oil refinery at Phillips Petroleum. They later moved back to Louisiana when the Phillips Company expanded their operations into Louisiana.
Patricia attended Southern University in Lafayette where she earned a degree in education. There she met Robert Johnson; they married and moved to the Houston, Texas area, where she taught school for many years until her retirement. Then they moved back to Louisiana and settled in the Iowa and Hecker community. Patricia had a great love for animals and had many dogs and cats throughout her life. She was known as the dog and cat lady of Hecker.
Patricia and Bob joined a square dance club and they enjoyed traveling and dancing along with her twin sister, Phyliss Morgan and brother-in-law, John Morgan.
Patricia is survived by two nieces, Michelle Flowers and Amanda; and a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in by death by her parents; her twin sister, Phyliss Morgan; brother-in-law, John Morgan; and her husband, Robert Johnson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Kinder Retirement and Rehabilitation Center for the special love and care that was given to her while she lived there. Patricia was very happy there.
