Mittie-It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the daughters of Patricia Granger, 72, announce her passing on November 10, 2014. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at 3 p.m. at The Pentecostals of Mittie Church. Bro. Jeremy Spikes will officiate. Burial will follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at The Pentecostals of Mittie Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Patricia, affectionately known as "Maw Maw Pat", was a loving mother and grandmother. She lived in Oberlin and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for many years. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, taught C.C.D., Ladies Altar Society and the Evangelistic Team. Pat was the "matriarch" of her family. She was a woman of exceedingly strong faith. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Drucilla "Noonie" and Rick Burrell of Moss Bluff, Sarella and Bartet Darbonne, and Darlene and Dorman Lowe, all of Mittie; one stepsister, Joyce Touchet, of Lake Charles; 9 grandchildren; and, 21 great grandchildren.
Pat is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Pitre; her son, Hubert "Bud" Granger; and, her granddaughter, Crystal Darbonne.
Honored to carry "Maw Maw Pat" to her final resting place as pallbearers will be her loving grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons.
