Oberlin—Funeral service for Pam Lea Chaumont, 62, will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes of Oberlin, La. Rev. Don Duplechain will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Soileau immediately following the service. All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 9 a.m. until time of service with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 10 a.m.

Pam brought joy, laughter, and light to everyone who knew her. Pam was known for her warm spirit, quick wit, and her love of good company. She enjoyed her time working at the Crawfish Shack visiting with everyone. She loved riding the backroads in her beloved red truck to castor cottongin, cheering on the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, and sitting on her porch sharing laughter, KBON, and a cold beer. Her favorite time of the year was leading the way as "Pace car Pam" for the Oberlin Mardi Gras followers.

Pam's presence brought joy and comfort to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her kindness, humor, and the love she gave so freely.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Those left to cherish Pam's memory include her loving son, Joseph "TJoe" Chaumont, wife Carley of Kinder; two brothers, Nicky Chaumont, wife Shanna of Basile and Tre Chaumont, wife Jessica of Kinder; two sisters, Jody Tilley, husband Bryan of Oberlin, and Jaydene Chaumont of Oberlin; three grandchildren, Ellie, Remi, and Brady; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents, James Clegg Chaumont and Sybil Young; significant other, Olin Manuel; and one brother, Timmy Chaumont.
