Oakdale-Graveside service for Oza Gobert, 97, will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Cryer Cemetery in Oakdale. Rev. Jerry Odom will officiate. All arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Oza was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He served our country in the US Army and was a World War II Veteran. Oza received the purple heart for his brave service. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Mary Brevile Gobert, for 30 years up until her passing. Oza enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan. Oza will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Oza's memory include his son, Brian Gobert and wife, Patti, of Oakdale; one daughter, Karen Winn of Oakdale; one grandchild, Adam Fontenot; and two great grandchildren, Austin and Asher Fontenot.
Oza is preceded in death by his parents, Clovite and Annie Gobert; his wife, Mary Gobert; and his siblings.
