Kinder- Mr. Owen "Tommy" Scully Sr., 70, of Kinder, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 in a Lake Charles hospital. Mr. Scully was a native of Lexington, KY and moved to Lake Charles in 1955. He had lived in Kinder since 1992. Mr. Scully was stationed at Chennault Air Force Base serving as an officer in the Air Force. He worker for B.F.I. as a supervisor for 14 years before retiring in 2000.He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Rose Marie Santoro Scully of Kinder; four sons, Owen T. Scully Jr. of Kinder, Rawlen J. Scully of Pineville, Thomas Scully of Ville Platte, James J. Scully of Kinder; four daughters, Ann Dantin of Anacoco, Bonnie Barnhart of Howe, TX, Connie Foreman & Sherrie Daigle both of Lake Charles; brother, Stanley Scully of Waynesville, N.C.; three sisters, Patricia Parfitt of Dallas, Texas, Ann Robertson & Edna Wise both of Lexington, KY; 26 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia & Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be Friday from 2pm-9pm with a vigil at 6:00pm and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Scully is preceded in death by parents, James Joseph & Edna Scully; brothers, Jim Scully, George Scully, Donald Scully, & Frank Scully; sister, Katherine McGuire.
