Oakdale-Funeral service for Otis Carroll, Sr, 79, will be held Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on December 2, 2021.  Rev. Elden Mayo will officiate.  Burial will follow at Cryer Cemetery of Oakdale under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home, 311 Highway 1152 in Oakdale.  Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will resume on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service which will be held in the chapel of the funeral home.

Otis was a devoted husband to his wife, Dianne, for 50 years.  He was also a loving father and grandfather.  He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.   He worked hard over the years to provide for his family.  He was a pipeline worker for over twenty years, enjoyed coon hunting and loved to trap.  He owned Carroll's Fur Company for 37 years.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Otis' memory include his loving wife, Dianne Carroll; one son, Otis Ray Carroll, Jr. and wife, Wendy; two daughters, Brenda Jane Tichy and Tanya Burnett and husband, Blaine; two brothers, Bobby Carroll and wife, Mable, and Harvey Carroll; one sister, Cora Jane Davis and husband, Walter; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Otis is preceded in death by his parents, Starilon and Annie Carroll; three brothers, Thelton, McCoy, Sr. and Buddy; three sisters, Myrtis, Dorothy, and Maglean; and one grandson, Justin Blayke Carroll.
