Elton- Funeral service for Ola Mae Fuselier Thornton, 92, will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 3:00 PM in St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton. Father Marshall Boulet and Deacon John Eaves will officiate. She will be interred in the family mausoleum in St. Paul Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday in Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton from 9:00 AM
until time of service.
Ola Mae was a resident of Elton. She was a former State President of the Louisiana Council of National Accredited Flower Show Judges, former President of Southwest Council of Nationally Accredited Flower Show Judges, former State Book Review Chairman, former President of Kinder Spade and Hope Garden Club, former
State and National Life Member, was Garden Columnist and wrote Horticulture articles published weekly in Jennings Daily News.
Ola Mae was given the Papal Medal BENEMERENTI by Pope John Paul II for all her faithful service to the church.
Ola Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Felix M. Thorton and her parents, Columbus Fuselier and Dora Tate Fuselier.
