Elton-Funeral service for Norris LaFleur, 79, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Marshall Boulet and Deacon John Eaves will officiate. Burial will follow in Sonnier Cemetery of Soileau under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Norris, affectionately known as "Nick", was a native of Elton and currently lived in Whitehouse, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle. He served our country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He was a medic during the Vietnam conflict as a member of the 606th Air Commandos. He loved Ford trucks and loved reading. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He was very witty and had a great sense of humor. Nick will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish Nick's memory include his wife, Jackie LaFleur, of Whitehouse, TX; three sons-Eric LaFleur of Fayetteville, TN, Dustin LaFleur of Whitehouse, TX, and Calvin Westmoreland of Bullard, TX; one daughter, Brenda Doran of Mansfield, TX; one brother, William LaFleur of Elton; 2 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Nick is preceded in death by his parents, Lastie and Lucille LaFleur; three brothers, Mike LaFleur and infants, Junior and Clifton LaFleur; and one grandson, Chase Erik Westmoreland.
