Kinder-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Norman Stretton, 86, announces his passing on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sue, for twenty-five years. He attended Deridder Methodist Church for the past year. He worked very hard to provide for his family. Norman loved working on the farm, using his hands to build stuff, working with animals, telling stories and doing photography. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Norman will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Norman's memory include his wife, Sue Stretton; three sons, Dennis Stretton and wife, Elizabeth, of Dry Creek, Tim Stretton and wife, Kelley, of Harrison, AR, and Erik Stretton and wife, Lori, of Elizabeth; five daughters, Kathy Miles of Dry Creek, Terry Hovey and husband, Billy, of Auxvasse, MO, Rachel Hedrick and husband, Chris, of Rolla, MO, Kim Price of Dry Creek and Kelly Young and husband, Wesley, of Deridder; one brother, Sanford Stretton and wife, Brenda, of Pagosa Springs, CO; twenty grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Violet Stretton; four brothers, Marshall Stretton, Carl Stretton, Vivian Stretton and Lloyd Stretton, Jr.; Phyllis LeDoux and Lorna Stretton.
