December 19, 1952 – August 12, 2018
Kinder-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Norma Williams, 65, announce her passing on Sunday morning following a long battle with cancer. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. in The Grand Church of Kinder. Rev. Paul Cavenah will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at The Grand Church on Wednesday morning, August 15, 2018 from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Norma was a loving mother and sister. She was also a devoted "nanny" to her nephew's children. Gardening was her passion. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with family. Norma was a very loving, outgoing person who loved to laugh-she always had a smile on her face. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kinder for many years. She was also a proud member of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana. Norma will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Leslie Williams, of Iowa; her sister, Beverly Poncho, of Kinder; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Norma is preceded in death by her mother, Eula John Fruge; her husband, Horace Williams; and her foster parents, Maddie and Scott John.
