Kinder- Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Nora Mae Spears, 91, will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 10:00AM in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Oberlin Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder Tuesday from 2pm-9pm with a rosary at 6:30pm and will continue Wednesday at 8am until time of service.
Mrs. Spears was a resident of Kinder. She was a devoted Member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she was a former member of the Ladies Altar Society. For many years she was a caregiver of many children for working mothers. Mrs. Spears passed away Monday, July 12, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Savant & husband Luther of Kinder; 5 grandchildren, Christopher McDaniel, John Savant, Lisa Randall, Brian Spears, Mary Rose; 10 great grandchildren & 5 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Burnis Spears; two sons, Leonard Spears & Lawrence Spears; grandson, Paul Savant.
