Elton-Funeral services for Nolan Joseph "Cabre" David, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton. Burial will follow at Sonnier Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Nolan was born on February 5, 1944 in Oberlin, LA. He lived a long eventful life; he worked hard and loved even harder. If you had the pleasure of meeting him, you had a lifelong friend that would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Nolan's memory include his three children, Christine, Hattie "Peanut" and Kirk David; six grandchildren, Ashley, Hector, Amanda, Christian, Adriana and Selena; three great grandchildren, Amari, Melena, and Xander; as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved as much as his children.

Nolan is preceded in death by his parents, Dolzie David and Hattie Manuel David; brother, Eluzy David; three sisters, Emily Jean Deshotel David, Eva Mae Bellon David and Mary Marine David; wife, Lena Billiot David; niece, Annette Marie David; grandson, Kirk Nolan David; and brother-in-law and best friend all in one, Allen Deshotel.
