Reeves-Funeral service for Nettie "Sue" Savoie, 68, will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Reeves Bible Church. Bro. Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Reeves Bible Church on Monday, November 10, 2014, from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Reeves Bible Church on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Prior to her years of illness, she loved fishing and the outdoors. She also enjoyed gardening and her passion was painting. She was kitchen manager at Dry Creek Baptist Camp for several years and also worked with the "Meals on Wheels" program. Sue always gave freely of her time and energy to others. She was best described as very "giving", a true friend to all. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to mourn her loss include her devoted husband of 52 years, Jerry Savoie, of Moss Bluff; one son, Jason Savoie of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Carolyn Earp and husband, Stephen, of Franklin, TN, and Jeri Roberts of Birmingham, AL; one brother, Bill Ware, of Shreveport; one sister, Nita Scott, of Shreveport; one daughter-in-law, Cynthia; and 7 grandchildren-Mark, Kelsey, Mallory, Madeline, Blake, Bailey, and Blaine.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Sybil Ware.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Sue's sister-in-law, Kathy Savoie, who came to live and care for her during the past thirteen months. And, special thanks to her nurse, Christina, and nurse's aide, Jennifer, as well as the entire staff of Heart of Hospice.
