Kinder-Nadine Fontenot LaFleur Coward, 77, went to rest in the arms of God on October 19, 2016. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016, at Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Steve Haymon and Rev. Greg Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Jessie Johnson Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Nadine was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a lifelong resident of Kinder and a member of Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church. Nadine enjoyed growing flowers and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren; Nick, Travis, Jared, Brandon, and Morgan LaFleur, Adam, Wayne, Ashley, Theresa, Sydney, and Alex. Nadine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Nadine's memory include her husband, Arthur "Peewee" Coward, of Kinder; four sons, Craig LaFleur and wife, Becky, of Carlyss, Bryan LaFleur of Indian Village, Kelvin "BooBoo" LaFleur and wife, Wendy, of Kinder, and Arthur Coward Jr. of Sulphur; one daughter, Miechael Eason and husband, Calvin, of Fred, TX; one brother, Ercel "Cook" Fontenot of Kinder; two sisters, Wilona Henry of Lake Charles and Sharon Miller and husband, Roose, of Kinder; her 11 Grandchildren that are listed above and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Nadine is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Lena Fontenot; two brothers, Alveno and Phil Fontenot; and four sisters, Elva McMahon, Iona Buller, Gladys Fontenot, and Annette Fontenot.
