Elton- Funeral service for Mrs. Myrtle Daggett,71, will be held Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 2p.m. in First Baptist Church in Elton. Rev. Jake Crowell will officiate. Burial will be in China Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be Friday from 6pm-10pm and will continue Saturday at 8a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Mrs. Daggett was a resident of Elton, a loving homemaker, she was known as "Granny" throughout her community. Mrs. Daggett was a member of First Baptist Church in Elton. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant". Matthew 25:21. She died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 1:23 p.m. in a Lafayette Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Richard H. Daggett Sr. of Elton; 3 sons, Richard Daggett & wife Money, Harold Daggett & wife Kathy, Alan Daggett & wife Jodie all of Elton; daughter, Cindy Daggett Allen of Elton; two sisters, Lois Dupuis of Butte LaRose & Dorothy Olivier of Baton Rouge; 5 grandchildren, Trisha & husband, Rannal Johnson, Sarah Daggett, Julie Daggett, Jill Daggett, Trey Daggett all of Elton; 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Overton & Otillia Hayes.
