Kinder-Funeral Services for Murphy Keith Gauthreaux, 66, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Sis. Patsy Cavenah will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Murphy enjoyed fishing at Toledo Bend, crabbing at Hackberry, dancing and shooting pool. He also enjoyed football and loved the Saints, LSU, and the Kinder Yellow Jackets. Last, but not least, he enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. He was always staying busy. Murphy was a very hands-on person whom loved to grow vegetables. He owned Kinder Butcher Shop for fifteen years. Prior to owning the store, he drove a truck for twenty years. Murphy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Murphy's memory include his wife, Rena Gauthreaux; five sons, Murphy Keith Gauthreaux, II of Kinder, Shaun Cody Gauthreaux of Kinder, Michael Duplichan of Lake Charles, Shayne Marcantel, II of Lake Charles and Lane Marcantel of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Misty Duplichan of Baton Rouge and Ashley Duplichan of Baton Rouge; one sister, Vera Gay Chaumont of Kinder; and eleven grandchildren.

Murphy is preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Joseph Gauthreaux and Janice Faye Morgan Gauthreaux.
